\F1\CDecember 3,1980

Dear Bruce and Richard:

\J
Rich, sorry I missed you yesterday. About 4:30 my sister called, stranded
out of gas on Old Santa Cruz Highway; so even though she's my sister,
I felt I had to help her.

To date I have sold 36 copies of the manual and 30 copies of the system;
your share of the proceeds, plus the last payment from Cromemco comes to
$3760; enclosed are two checks for $1880 each.
Since this sum wipes out the finances of TLC, and since the partnership
has been inactive for all intents and purposes for about a year, I move
that we dissolve that partnership. I will continue to maintain the code
for Cromemco (Bruce: the mystery bit-spreader finally revealed itself to be an
un-initialized stack in the start-up code, and the gc-table had to move
out of page zero for Cromix and many versions of CP/M since interrupts
blew it out of the water;
Rich: bizarre interactions between I and O in
character mode have been reported, also medium-long lists of integers
lose on input).

I plan to continue with this venture, borrowing money where possible.
Plans for other enterprises have remained at the "promise" stage due to
lack of funds and lack of my time.
The timing of the LISP conference was incredibly bad, essentially taking
all of my time and yielding zero money. My total income for this year,
including teaching and book royalties,
will be about $5000 after business expenses but before taxes. One
could say it has not been a particularly profitable and
 pleasant year --one could \F3indeed\F1 say that.

If you have any objections to the dissolution, please let me know soon.
\.
